My Walk With God

I am a Christian. I know that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins. I know that I was born a sinner and that only Jesus can give me the gift of salvation.

I am not any one denomination for religion itself is man-made, but I believe in what the Bible tells me. I have not yet read it all and I know that each and every time I read any one bit of scripture that The Lord may show me something new. My pastor this last week mentioned that “Spiritual maturity isn’t how much you know, but instead how much you obey.”

I am not perfect and don’t pretend to be, but I do constantly want to build my relationship with God. I know that it is ever-changing and my continuous prayer is that I do not backslide and that when I do or when I start to that He will humble me, draw me nearer, hold me close and not let go.

  1. Psalm 50:10-12
    New Living Translation (NLT)

    10 For all the animals of the forest are mine,
    and I own the cattle on a thousand hills.
    11 I know every bird on the mountains,
    and all the animals of the field are mine.
    12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you,
    for all the world is mine and everything in it.

    And another;
    Exodus 23:5
    New Living Translation (NLT)

    5 If you see that the donkey of someone who hates you has collapsed under its load, do not walk by. Instead, stop and help.
